One of those days

I am having one of those days, when I just can't make a decision. I am finally, finally, finally finishing up our very first Belle & Boo book, Yyyyiiippppppeeeeeee.
It has been in the making for such a long time & now trying to make a decision about the front cover is proving just that bit too much. It's a big decision nearly a years worth of work, sold by a single image on the front gulp !

Anyway that is not why I am blogging, I was after some advice please :)

We have the opportunity to work with this amazing vinly wall sticker company Chocovenyl they produce beautiful removable wall stickers like this.

I need to make some suggestions asap regards which Belle & Boo images we should get made into wall stickers & I would really appreciate your opinions.
So far I have this.........help !

  1. I think anything you create would make gorgeous wall stickers! If they are the kind that you can apply them to a wall in pieces and re-use, you could have them print your tree and that comes with/or you can purchase the little people to go in the tree separately, one dressed for each season? I also love the little girl with her pull toy duckie...

  3. oh wow. so. excited. about. the book!!!

and stickers too?..i like the idea of the one with the kite so that you can get some movement across the wall. also love your "parade" tape...i can just imagine the characters marching from one end of the room to the other. {dream!} x

  4. I am so excited as have been looking for something to go on the wall of the childrens playroom. I enquired over the blow up characters you used on your stand at Top Draw but they were not for sale! I think though that they wuld be a good starting point - I definatly think you need both boys and girls - I love the paper aeroplane and cowboys and indians but also love Belle and boo for my little girl. I also think something that is not too seasonal so it works in a room all year round. Please keep us updated and let us know how quickly they will be available!

a bit cheeky but could also do with some coordinatling fabric for the curtains! - I loved the fabric swatches that you had for the pushchairs and think they would work so well sold per metre in your homewares section.

Good luck - another great idea

  8. Hi Mandy, I'm so glad you've hooked up with Chocovenyl, their decals are the best quality around. How about a tree for Belle and Boo, like you have made for trade fairs? Or Belle flying her kite? If you don't want to restrict it to Belle and Boo, then Found or Let's Hug decals would be adorable, or and Ava set. Can't wait! xxx

  9. Since Adolie Day presented her Chocovenyl wall stickers, I was hoping I would see Belle & Boo on walls too. I was hoping for the tree featured on numerous illustrations as on My Favorite Spot since seeing the wall decoration with this tree for your stand at the Top Drawer show 2008. But any Belle & Boo stickers would be lovely. Oh, I also have a soft spot for the dove featured on Freedom.
I'm looking forward to hearing and seeing more of the book.
I haven't written in English for a long time I hope I did not make too many mistakes.
And finally I hope the mugs will be sold by Les Fleurs in Paris. I drink four cups of tea a day and I always need a new mug to replace the one I've just broken.
    Bonne continuation. All the Best

  10. Superb collaboration, you know I love what both of you do and can't wait to see the results!

I would like to throw dressing up into the mix as the repositional nature of the stickers makes them perfect for interactive play. Definitely the trees and perhaps the pirate tree so there is something for the boys?

  12. I also agree, your whole collection would look fantastic as wall stickers! A few that jumped out at me, Sleep walker (love the tree's), Lola freedom, My favourite spot in spring, Chance encounter, My paper plane and Little Belle hugs Boo Pink as it looks just like my daughter x

I also love your (Dress Up) Bella and Boo cut outs in card form, I would love to see this using the fabric wall stickers, a collection of clothes you could change Bella's into??

    Good Luck x

  14. 1. The Release Gal with the Bird - Definitely a peaceful decal for a little girl's room. Lola also...
    2. Belle and Boo flying a kite - you could break them up - decals for each one - Belle, boy, some grass pieces, and the kite..cute!
    3. Their first meeting...Belle and Boo's that is!
    4. The Ava series - would be cute.
    5. The Favorite Spot Series - the trees, the girls - so cute!
    6. Journey - the boy, the girl, the horse!
    7. I like your bow & I like your hat
    8. Freedom
    9. Let's Hug
    10. Evie's Flowers - FYI - My sister is having a girl in Oct and naming her Evie - after our great grandmother - so..hint...hint.
    11. Lost & Found
    12. Belle & Lamb
    13. Cowboys & Indians (for boys rooms)
    14. Friendship green (for boys)
    15. Trees, and the tiny deer, and the gal - Tree Hugger - great for enviro friendly families!
    16. My paper boat - with pieces - lily pads, the boat, the boy, fishing pole, fish...for a boys room! Perfect!
    17. Plain boo - from the ltd edition - for those who just want a cute bunny.

Okay, so a lot here, but can't wait for the book - Hope I can have the first one signed - I'd pay more for it! (actually, want two - one for me and one for my new niece!)

I think you need to put the ones you think will be suitable for a decal in a poll and make a decision based on top 3 or 4 or 5 - not sure how many came be done. If over time, you can do more and more - pick a few good ones at first, then follow with rest later!

Just thoughts - I love your stuff and now I'll have a niece and can buy much more for her - my lil Evie.

  15. I adore all of your little animals that appear here there and everywhere. Like the little mouse in all of the kite images, and the little animal couples whose tails intertwine to make hearts... Sigh... I would LOVE to see one of your trees. My favorites are the images where Belle & Boo's faces can both be seen, personally. I just love this idea! Oh! Please be sure to try to include at least ONE boy IF possible.
